| Providing Agapeans with School of Discipleship |
| While knowledge of the Scriptures per se is not the be all and end all of School of Discipleship, it is surely the foundation from which good works and acts of service springs forth. |
| Agape's School of Discipleship Ministry is guided by the following theme verses, which speaks of the importance for the Body of Christ to be taught and trained in the Word of God, for the carrying out of the work of the ministry. |
| Ephesians 4:11-15... |
| “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: |
| till we all come in the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: |
| that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and for, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ” |
| As New Testament priests of God, it is imperative that we are thoroughly equipped with the Word of God, so that we can minister effectively both to God and people. |
| The challenge remains to identify the right courses that will meet the needs of Agapeans, selecting qualified teachers and motivating all attendees to give off their best while studying God's Word. The ministry seeks to achieve the following long-term goals: |
| 1. |
To inculcate in Agapeans a pure love for the Word of God and to seek it as the instruction book of life. |
| 2. |
To ground Agapeans in the Word of God, not just as an intellectual exercise but as a life-changing experience. |
| 3. |
To provide an interesting, conducive and stimulating learning environment for Agapeans who desire to study God's Word. |
| 4. |
To train leaders and workers for effective ministry within Agapean church life, and to extend that ministry within the larger community that God has placed them in. |
| 5. |
To use School of Discipleship as an evangelistic tool in reaching out to seekers through meeting their needs for guidance, instruction or insight on certain topics. |
| We look forward to the support of all Agapeans in faithfully attending the courses we offer and putting the requisite effort to successfully complete the courses. We also welcome any suggestions and feedback that you may have to help us improve our ministry. |
